One-pot preparation of chiral beta-amino esters by rhodium-catalyzed three-components coupling reaction.
Chiral beta-amino esters are synthesized in one-pot from three components, amines, aldehydes, and ethyl bromoacetate, under the rhodium-catalyzed Reformatsky-type reaction condition, where complete diastereoselection is achieved in the nucleophilic addition step of ethyl bromoacetate to the imines prepared in

In this protocol, 3-(2-carboxybenzoyl)-1-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium chloride [Cbmim]Cl and sulfonic acid functionalized pyridinium chloride [pyridine-SO3H]Cl as a new, reusable, and green Brønsted acidic ionic liquid (BAIL) catalyst were synthesized and successfully used for the one-pot ring opening of epoxide with sodium azide (NaN3) in water at room temperature. Epoxides under ring-opening easi...
متن کاملFemoral prosthesis infection by Rhodotorula mucilaginosa.
This case report is a case history of a femoral prosthesis infection caused by Rhodotorula mucilaginosa in a human immunodeficiency virus patient. Though the pathogenicity of this organism for bone tissue has been previously reported, this is the first reported case of an orthopedic prosthesis infection by this species of the genus Rhodotorula.
متن کاملOne-pot synthesis of novel chiral β-amino acid derivatives by enantioselective Mannich reactions catalyzed by squaramide cinchona alkaloids.
An efficient one-pot synthesis of novel β-amino acid derivatives containing a thiadiazole moiety was developed using a chiral squaramide cinchona alkaloid as organocatalyst. The reactions afforded chiral β-amino acid derivatives in moderate yields and with moderate to excellent enantioselectivities. The present study demonstrated for the first time the use of a Mannich reaction catalyzed by a ch...
متن کاملGenetic analysis of D-xylose metabolism by endophytic yeast strains of Rhodotorula graminis and Rhodotorula mucilaginosa
Two novel endophytic yeast strains, WP1 and PTD3, isolated from within the stems of poplar (Populus) trees, were genetically characterized with respect to their xylose metabolism genes. These two strains, belonging to the species Rhodotorula graminis and R. mucilaginosa, respectively, utilize both hexose and pentose sugars, including the common plant pentose sugar, D-xylose. The xylose reductas...
